Privacy

Draft, version 2026-10-10-draft-3. The final privacy policy will be published before launch.

  • Account: your email address, the name you give, a password hash if you set a password, and when you signed in. Sign-in addresses are kept only as salted hashes.
  • Contestants: the profile you fill in (name, country, date of birth — used for the age category, never shown — languages, text) and the photos you upload. Photos are checked by a moderator before they are shown.
  • Votes: who voted for whom is stored to count the vote and to keep one free vote a day per person. Votes against are never shown publicly, and neither are exact vote counts.
  • Payments: coin purchases are handled by Stripe; card details never reach this site. We keep the purchase, what the coins were spent on and what was earned from them.
  • Payouts: before the first payout we ask for your name, date of birth, country, a copy of an identity document and bank details. The copy of the document is deleted 90 days after the check; the fact of the check stays.
  • Invitations: if you came by someone's link, that is remembered so that the person who invited you can receive a referral bonus — in a cookie only if you accepted cookies, otherwise only for that one visit.
  • Analytics: only if you switch “Analytics (Google)” on in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited, where visitors come from and how the site is used. Your browser then sends Google (Google Ireland Limited; the data is also processed by Google LLC in the United States) random identifiers kept in the cookies _ga and _ga_<id>, your device and browser type, the pages you open and actions such as registering, voting or buying — never your email address, name, account number, who you voted for or which way, referral codes or payment details. Google receives your IP address as any website does. Advertising features and Google signals are off. You can take the consent back at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page: sending stops at once and the two cookies are removed. Nothing is loaded from Google for visitors who have not agreed.
  • Contact form: your name, email address and message are kept for 12 months so that we can answer you.
  • Search engines: a contestant can switch “Show my profile in search engines” off in their account.
  • You can withdraw from the contest at any time from your account; photos you delete are removed from the site at once and from storage within 30 days.

Cookies

Essential cookies are set without asking: the site cannot work without them. The others are set only with your OK, in two groups you can switch separately on the cookie banner: “Referrals and ad counting” and “Analytics (Google)”. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page; switching a group off removes its cookies.

gt_ad_sidA random number that lets us count one visitor's views of a banner once. Not linked to an account.Until you close the browserNo — only with your OK: Referrals and ad counting
_gaGoogle Analytics: a random number that tells one browser from another, so that visits can be counted. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC.Up to 2 yearsNo — only with your OK: Analytics (Google)
_ga_<id>Google Analytics: keeps the state of your current visit. Provider: Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC.Up to 2 yearsNo — only with your OK: Analytics (Google)

Without the referral cookie a friend’s link still works for that one visit: the code travels in the page address and fills the invitation code on the Join page. Nothing is kept in your browser’s storage. Unless you switch “Analytics (Google)” on, the site loads nothing from other companies; with it on, Google Analytics is loaded from Google. There are no advertising networks and no social widgets. Paying for coins takes you to Stripe, which sets its own cookies on its own pages.
